Megan + Andrew
When Megan and Andrew first contacted me, they told me that they were living in Hawaii. My heart skipped a beat. I thought, “Yay! I’m traveling to Hawaii to do their wedding!” I quickly found out that they are Idaho natives and want to bring touches of Hawaii into their wedding in Idaho through flowers. So although I didn’t get my trip to Hawaii, I had an absolute blast doing their flowers for their special day.
Megan and Andrew’s colors for their wedding were the most beautiful assortment of navy, eucalyptus green, sage green, marsala, succulent blue-green, and champagne.
When Megan and I were talking about what she wanted for her bridal bouquet, she said that she was most interested in having it full of texture, greenery, and she just wanted it fun and funky. I think I delivered. Included in Megan’s bridal bouquet were airplants, protea, roses, safari sunset, thistle, James Storie dendrobium orchids, eucalyptus, heather, agonis, succulents, lotus pods, calla lily, and dahlias.
Megan also wanted a flower clip for her hair. This was my first time doing on and I just LOVE how it turned out. It really finished off Megan’s beautiful look.
For the bridesmaid bouquets, Megan wanted them to be similar to hers, just smaller. She also wanted them to have a fun and funky shape.
Then we talked about Andrew’s boutonniere. Megan definitely wanted an air plant in it. She also wanted a sampling of flowers that were in her bouqet to be incorporated into his boutonniere. I absolutely love how it turned out!
The flowers for Megan and Andrew’s wedding were one of my very favorites to do. Ever. I loved the texture and shape. So fun!

When sending flowers to a funeral service, what is the appropriate thing to say when the florist asks, “What would you like on the card?” Here are some thoughtful messages you can include:
❤️ I am so sorry for your loss. My heart goes out to you and your family during this difficult time.
❤️ Thinking of you and wishing you peace and comfort in the days ahead.
❤️ Please accept my deepest condolences. I hope you find strength in the love of those around you.
❤️ May you find comfort in the cherished memories and the love that surrounds you.
❤️ The world has lost a truly special soul. My thoughts are with you as you celebrate their life and legacy.
Have you received a thoughtful note during a difficult time? What did it say?

Flowers speak when words cannot.
Today I received an order for sympathy flowers - a casket spray and an arrangement. These flowers will be the last loving gesture these family members give to their loved one.
A bouquet of flowers can mean:
Thank you.
Thinking of you.
I hope you feel better soon.
I miss you.
Just because you matter.
Remember the gift of flowers can mean so much to the one receiving them ❤️💐

So many wonderful things happened in February!
Galentine’s Day with Charcuterie and Flowers, prepping the low tunnel, getting the ranunculus planted - it was a busy and good month!

Galentine’s Charcuterie and Flowers workshop turned out so great! We learned so much from Shanelle with @grazinggems about cheeses and different ways to fold meat. And I got to do a step by step demonstration of a festive flower arrangement. Everyone’s charcuterie boards and flower arrangements turned out great! Can’t wait to do it again! Big thanks to the @dillecenter for always being a great venue!

Three days until the Galentine’s Day Charcuterie and Flowers Workshop that I’m doing with @grazinggems! Today I’m prepping the vases with grid tape. The tape helps stems stay where you want them. It’s a florist’s secret to designing 😏
